Standing Stairlifts

There are many different reasons that someone may need a stairlift. One of the most common reasons is old age, as when we are older we are more susceptible to aches and pains in our joints and arthritis. People may also need a stairlift because of a disability, which is a lot more serious as it can affect someone's life from the day they are born. If somebody has an accident or an operation it could be that they require a stairlift while they recover. There are rental options available from stairlift suppliers for those that have this need and it can be quite common.

Certain illnesses can leave people needing to use a stairlift temporarily or permanently. There are also disabilities that mean people must use a stairlift for the rest of their lives. In both cases it is possible that a person may not be able to sit down, and instead will only be able to either stand or lie down. This can make getting around the home incredibly difficult, especially stairs as they require a lot of knee bending. This is a problem that many face each day and for some it means that there must be all the necessary facilities downstairs in order for them to live a comfortable life.

Many stairlift companies now offer a solution to this problem that has helped to make the lives of many much easier. Stairlift manufacturers are now producing standing stairlifts, which have revolutionised the way in which people can get around their home. A standing stairlift is a stairlift with a seat as normal, but it also has a floor to it where the user is able to stand. This means that even if someone is unable to bend their knees and sit down they can still access the second floor of their homes with the use of a standing stairlift.
